TEAM BUILDING: THE ART OF COLLABORATION
This was an excellent project for professional development, improving
communication, cooperation, collaboration, focus and other team-building skills.

Over 300 attendees from 30 New York nursing homes participated in the
'Creating Our Vision' workshop, creating 30 large pieces of art.
Many began as skeptics—"You want ME to do an ART project?"—but once they
began, EVERYONE participated enthusiastically. Many said it was the highlight of
the conference!
Representatives of LABOR AND MANAGEMENT from each nursing home
collaborated to create their vision of the ideal nursing home, a great place to live and
a great place to work.
The finished pieces, hanging in the respective nursing homes, are a long-term
reminder of a successful collaboration.
